Man Found With Cannabis During DUI Arrest: Police Blotter

Hinsdale police reports, June 27-July 7

SUNDAY, JULY 7

DUI, Cannabis Possession

Jose Joshua Jones, 29, of the 100 block of Ann Street, Clarendon Hills, was charged with the following:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC greater than .08
  • Driving an uninsured vehicle
  • Possession of cannabis less than 30 grams
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Disobeying a traffic control device
  • Improper lane use

Police at 3:34 a.m. pulled Jones over at Ogden Avenue and Salt Creek Road for  disobeying a traffic control device and improper lane use, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and submitted a breath test, which indicated his blood alcohol content was greater than .08. Police also found cannabis and drug paraphernalia in Jones' possession. He was charged and released to appear in court.


FRIDAY, JULY 5

DUI, Improper Lane Use

Jesus R. King, 48, of the 7800 block of West 107th Street, Palos Hills, was charged with the following: 
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol
  • Improper turning
  • Failure to signal
  • Disobeying a traffic control signal
  • Improper lane use

Police working a seatbelt enforcement detail at 4:24 a.m. pulled King over at Ogden Avenue and Madison Street for failing to stop at a flashing red light, failure to signal lane change, improper lane use and making an improper turn, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused to submit a breath test. He was charged and released to appear in court.


THURSDAY, JULY 4

Witness Sees Hit and Run

Someone hit a woman's vehicle while it was legally parked in the street near North and Quincy. The incident occurred sometime between 7 p.m. and 10:45 p.m., police said. A witness who observed the crash left a note with the offending vehicle information. An estimate of the damage was unknown at the time of report. A case is pending.


THURSDAY, JUNE 27

Power Tools Taken

Someone stole two boxes containing power tools from an unlocked work van while it was parked on the 400 block of West Walnut Street. The incident occurred sometime between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., police said. The tools were valued at $1,564.
