Clarendon Hills police reports, Oct. 31-Nov. 6.

TUESDAY, NOV. 5

Suspended License

Scott T. Kujat, 36, of the 300 block of Emery Avenue, Romeoville, was charged with driving with a suspended license, police said, after a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 83 and Oakmont Lane at 9:27 p.m.

Caregiver Suspected in Theft

A credit card and $100 in cash was stolen from the purse of a woman who lives in an apartment building in the 5700 block of Holmes Avenue, possibly during a time frame when a substitute caregiver was looking after her, police said.

The theft was discovered on Oct. 31. Ten days earlier, on Oct. 21, the woman's normal caregiver had, upon the client's request, gone to pick up the client's groceries and take out $100 in cash. The caregiver told police that she put the cash and card into the client's purse upon her return. The substitute, who the normal caregiver suspects in a separate theft incident also, looked after the client in between.

The credit card was not used for any unauthorized purchases before it was deactivated, police said.

Dental Office Disruption

An employee of a dental office in the 200 block of Burlington Avenue reported at 12:21 p.m. that a patient had become "disruptive and argumentative" over his dental records, police said. He eventually left without incident.

The man told police he suspected his ex-wife and her family were behind the identity theft.
