MONDAY, JUNE 10

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

Someone took a laptop computer from a resident's unlocked car on the 100 block of Hiawatha. Police were dispatched to the scene at 3:06 a.m. after dogs started barking and the resident went outside to investigate. Several residents also reported that change was taken from their cars. Clarendon Hills police urge residents to lock up their cars and secure their belongings.

$20,000 in Jewelry, Silverware Stolen From Home

Someone took $20,000 in jewelry and silverware from a home on the 200 block of Columbine. The incident occurred sometime between 1 p.m. and 7:39 p.m. when the residents came home. A neighbor reported seeing a white male walking outside on the property after the residents left. 

There were no signs of forced entry to the home, according to a police report. The homeowner said at least one of the doors were unsecured at the time of the burglary.

Dog Pees on Pricey Bushes

A woman at 2:18 p.m. complained that a neighbor's dog urinated in her $90 rose bushes on the 5700 block of Holmes Avenue. Police explained to her that it was not illegal for the dog to do that. She wanted the officer to tell the dog's owner that it was rude. The office spoke to the dog's owner and asked them to try to not have the dog pee on the rose bushes, according to a report.

FRIDAY, JUNE 7

Cell Phone Theft

Someone took a caddy's Samsung smart phone from a caddy shack on the 100 block of Chicago Avenue. The incident was reported at 1:42 p.m.
