Mariano's Deal Official, Transition from Dominick's Begins Next Month
The Chicago Tribune reports that the new grocery store will open in the next two to three months.
Western Springs will likely have its new Mariano's Fresh Market open in the next two to three months after the grocery chain's parent company last week officially acquired 11 soon-to-close Dominick's locations in the Chicago area, according to a Chicago Tribune report published last week.
The store will close its grocery operations Saturday.
"Roundy's will take possession of the stores on Jan. 25, with plans to renovate and reopen them within 30 to 45 days under the Mariano's banner, according to [Roundy's spokesman Jim] Hyland," the Trib report reads.

Two Dominick's locations in Chicago and two others in Park Ridge and Northfield will experience a similar turnaround, according to the Trib. The other six locations set for conversion to Mariano's will be operated by Safeway until Jan. 25, then be cleaned up.
