Hinsdale Central Boys Golf: Defending Champs Back at State
The six-man Red Devils team includes four golfers who were part of the state-title winning group in 2012.
Hinsdale Central's boys golf team is looking to bring home its second straight team title at this weekend's IHSA 3A State Boys Golf Tournament.
Seniors Grant Filer and Jeff Yoo, junior Brian Dolehide, sophomores Kenneth Li and Drew Shepherd, and freshman Brendan O'Reilly are the Red Devils that will compete both as a team and as individuals at the two-round tournament that takes place Friday and Saturday at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course in Bloomington.
Filer, Yoo, Dolehide and Li were all on the Hinsdale Central team that won the 3A state title at a rain-shortened 2012 tournament.
Head coach Jess Krueger's Red Devils qualified as a team for this year's tournament after winning last weekend's Naperville Central Sectional.
O'Reilly equaled the second-lowest score shot at the sectional with a 72. Li shot a 75, Dolehide a 76, Shepherd a 77, Yoo an 80, and Filer an 81.
