Hinsdale Man Charged With DUI After Hitting Parked Car

DUI Charge Follows Accident

Kevin P. Garvin, 51, of the 700 block of South Oak Street, Hinsdale, was charged with DUI, police said, after he allegedly crashed into a parked car near the intersection of Elm and 4th streets at 12:44 a.m., was observed by police to be under the influence of alcohol, and refused to submit to a breath best.

Garvin was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released to appear in court.

Toxicology Report Confirms DUI Charge

William R. Miller, 53, of the 8000 block of Edgewater Road, North Riverside, was charged at 12:10 p.m. with driving under the influence of drugs in April, police said, after a toxicology report showing he was under the influence of prescription medication was obtained by police and an arrest warrant was issued.

The original traffic stop took place near the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Route 83 at 3:38 p.m. on April 21, police said. Officers had been dispatched to a report of an intoxicated motorist.

Miller turned himself in at the Hinsdale Police Department, posted bond, and was released to appear in court. 

FRIDAY, NOV. 22

Bolingbrook Man Charged With DUI

Brett Joseph Jensen, 22, of the 0-100 block of Kingsbrook Court, Bolingbrook, was charged with DUI, police said, after he was stopped for speeding in the 400 block of East Ogden Avenue at 2:34 a.m., was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, and failed a breath test.

He was released to appear in court.
