Sticky School Situation

Two unknown male subjects attempted to glue shut 18 of the more than 30 exterior doors at Hinsdale Central between 11:59 p.m. May 20 and 12:32 a.m. May 21, police said.

The offenders were captured by the school’s video surveillance system applying the glue from outside the building, but Deputy Chief Mark Wodka said neither has yet been identified.

No permanent damage was done by the offenders. Deputy Chief Mark Wodka said school staff was able to clean up the glue later that day. The deputy chief could not confirm that the gluing was some sort of end-of-the-school-year prank.

"Not knowing conclusively, I can't suggest that that’s what it was," Wodka said.
