Burglary Reported on County Line Road, Jewelry Missing

An unlocked window was used by the burglar to gain entry, Hinsdale police say.

Jewelry is missing from a Hinsdale home in the 200 block of North County Line Road that was burglarized Thursday between 11:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., according to a release from the Hinsdale Police Department. 

Entry was made to the residence through an unlocked window in the house's sun room. The jewelry was taken form the master bedroom. 

Deputy Chief Mark Wodka said there is no suspect information at this time and the value of the missing jewelry—which included several gold rings, pearl necklaces and earrings, and gold necklaces—is not known.

"Residents in the area who may have any video surveillance footage from a private residential video surveillance system in the area are encouraged to contact the Investigations Division at (630) 789-7070," the release reads. "Home surveillance videos have aided investigators in previous investigations and increase the likelihood of identifying and apprehending burglary suspects."
