HINSDALE, IL – On Saturday, November 2, 2013, the Hinsdale
Public Library Foundation (HPLF) will be taking it up a decibel and hosting
Rockin’ at Dewey’s, its Sixth Annual Fundraiser to benefit the Hinsdale Public
Library (the Library).
Morry Sochat and the Special 20s will be rockin’ the stacks with their
unique blend of Chicago blues, swing, and rock n’ roll from the 1950s. The Reel Club of Oak Brook will be delighting
palates with delectable fare and beverages.
“We encourage residents to attend what promises to be a
fun-filled evening,” said HPLF chair Patty Paul. “Funds raised by the Foundation are used to
enhance and enrich Library programs, resources and facilities. So, this is a great opportunity to enjoy an
evening with friends and neighbors, make some new friends and support your
Library – all at the same time.”

this year’s fundraiser, as well as all the individuals and local businesses who
are helping to support the event.”
Over the years, the HPLF has supported the Library in many
ways including funding the creation of the DVD collection, upgrades during the
2007 renovation project, and the acquisition of MacBook Pro laptops that are
available for in-Library use as well as KidSmart literacy stations.
