Teens Yell the N-Word at Female: Police Blotter

THURSDAY, JULY 4

Fireworks Complaint

A caller at 11:26 p.m. reported that someone from a party on the 200 block of Holmes Avenue was setting fireworks off in the street. Police notified the party of the complaints and advised the person to stop the fireworks use. Police also advised them of the noise and disorderly conduct ordinances.


TUESDAY, JULY 2

Driving While Registration Suspended

Anthony Molette, 41, of the 4000 block of Riverside in Plainfield, was charged with driving while registration suspended. Molette was arrested at 11:35 p.m. on 55th Street and Route 83, according to police. He was released on I-bond.


No Driver's License 

Pablo Zecena, 30, of the 5000 block of West Melrose, was charged with no valid driver's license and not wearing a seatbelt. Zecena was arrested at 8:55 a.m. at Ogden and Oxford avenues. A passenger was also ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt, according to police. Zecena was released on I-bond.


MONDAY, JULY 1

Driving While License Suspended


Jessica Simmons, 25, of the 200 block of South 12th Avenue, Maywood, was charged with suspended/revoked driver’s license and not wearing a seatbelt. Simmons was arrested at 10:40 p.m. on 55th Street and Route 83, according to police. She was released on I-bond.


Racial Slur Yelled From BMW

A female reported to police at 6:59 p.m. that she was walking westbound on 55th Street near Walker Avenue when a BMW with four to five teenagers yelled "n-----" at her. She was unable to get the registration of the vehicle.
