Check Out Latest Fuller's Tap Renderings

A second-story balcony will be added to the southeast portion of the current Fuller's Home & Hardware building that the new restaurant would take over.

The latest plans for Fuller's Tap & Grill include an elevated outdoor seating area on the restaurant's east side and accordion-style doors along 1st Street that would be opened on nice days.

These features were a part of the restaurant's site plan and exterior appearance unanimously approved by the Hinsdale Plan Commission last week, meaning the next step is a recommendation by the Hinsdale Board of Trustees' Zoning and Public Safety (ZPS) Committee.

The next ZPS Committee meeting is set for Monday, Sept. 23. An agenda for that meeting won't be released until Friday, Sept. 20.

Even if it gets the approval of the committee, the plan commission needs to approve its findings and recommendations, presumably at its next meeting on Oct. 9, before the full Hinsdale Board of Trustees can vote on the plan.

Fuller said during the plan commission meeting last week he and partner Jim Carlstrom are aiming for an opening around the end of the year.
