ReplyHi folks,
The shooting happened on Wednesday, yes, but the suspect is still on the loose and we wanted to alert people to that news. Police are searching for him, and if residents aren't aware, how can they help?

Won't you just have a little fun and play along? I don't believe that this didn't make you smile, even for a second. :)

Hi again, Dinkum.
Not sure what happened to Mom36's post, but Patch staff did not delete it. It's possible the user deleted it herself.
Thanks,

Hi, Richard! We actually asked people to tell us where they had been when they believed they or their animal had picked up the tick. These markers indicate public parks or trails, not home addresses. I know when I take my dog for a walk on a forest preserve trail, and I spot a tick later that day, he more than likely picked it up on the trail, rather than inside my apartment.
And our tick prevention article mentioned at the bottom of this story also offers tips for prevention and tick removal, listed for us by a local veterinarian.
I encourage you to take a closer look at the map, and a look at the article at the bottom of the page.
Thanks.
