ReplyJ. J. Zurek must be eavesdropping in my house because that is everything we say every week. The 3rd down plays, the cheapness of the owners, Lovie as head coach. I mean, up the middle every time? It drives us crazy. But we love the Bears anyway and we want a winning team. Urlacher wasn't helping us win anymore.

ReplyGiven the lack of a decent local paper, the Patch is the best we can do. But it has always seemed like a student paper from Jr. High School. I wonder if any of these writers aspire to work for major papers, and if so, would they be proud to submit this work? I think the Patch encourages this casual style so that the readers aren't too challenged.

ReplyWow, a few pointed questions and not one answer. No one replies. Lots of positive commenters but then they all disappear, lending credence to my theory that these comments were a staged event. Yeah, it bugs me.

ReplyThrow the book at him. I have no sympathy. Yeah, his life is ruined and too bad for his family and all that. But jeez. And BTW, why the heck do you need to drive a Denali around here? It's a monster vehicle for rough terrain and rough conditions. But I guess, bigger is better, eh? Why drive a nice sedan to work at 3 am when a drunk punk in a Denali can just ram you head on. smh

ReplyI would like to know under whose auspices he was ordained and what ACTUAL charities received the donations. Also, what percentage of the proceeds were donated compared to overhead? No facts in this article, but plenty of happy-clappy comments.
