Texting Driver Hits Car, Charged with DUI: Police Blotter

Hinsdale police reports, Jan. 8-14.

SATURDAY, JAN. 12 An employee of Yankee Peddler in the 10 block of East 1st Street reported that her credit card was taken from her purse while she was helping customers between 4:20 p.m. and 4:40 p.m., police said. The credit card was used later in the day at a Chicago-area retail store to make an unauthorized purchase, police said. The case is under investigation. FRIDAY, JAN. 11 Siobhan Lawler, 22, of the 300 block of Hampton Place, Hinsdale, was charged with DUI after she struck an occupied parked vehicle in the 200 block of East Walnut Street at 9:29 p.m., police said.
