THURSDAY, MAY 9 Someone took about $5 in loose change from an unlocked car on the first block of Oxford Avenue, according to a report. The owner at 9:46 a.m. said the incident happened overnight. A female on Willowcreek Court said that she had some cocaine last night with her boyfriend and was not feeling well at 9:23 a.m., according to a police report. She was transported to the Good Samaritan Hospital emergency room in Downers Grove. A rolled-up dollar bill with residue was taken by police and given to the department's evidence technician to be destroyed. SUNDAY, DEC. 30 Brian C. Lee, 35, of the 1100 block of Plainfield Road, Countryside, was charged with DUI after he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a stop for improper lane use near the intersection of 55th Street and County Line Road at 9:28 p.m., and failed an ensuing breath test, police said. He was released to appear in court. SATURDAY, DEC. 29 Barbara C. Gilbert, 58, of the 1100 block of North Oakley Court, Westmont, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane use after an open container of alcohol was discovered inside her vehicle during a stop near the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Route 83 at 1:07 a.m., police said. DUI, possession of controlled substance—Jose L. Ruis-Lopez, of 744 Benedetti Dr. Apt. 110 in Naperville, and Hilario Arias-Moreno, of 870 Benedetti Dr. Apt. 206 in Naperville, were arrested at 4 a.m. Oct. 10 at Spinning Wheel Road and Ogden Avenue after Ruiz-Lopez was charged with DUI and Arias-Moreno was charged with possession of cocaine, according to the Hinsdale Police Department. The two were in a vehicle that was observed by a Hinsdale Police officer to be parked in a traffic lane facing northbound with its lights off. Ruiz-Lopez, 24, was observed by the officer to be under the influence of alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests, was charged with DUI, and was released to appear in court.
