WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6 Police received a report at 12:03 p.m. that, some time the day before, someone burned some of the grass to form an obscenity outside a village water station in the 200 block of Ann Street. There was also evidence that the vandal had set off an "Alka-Seltzer bomb," a two-liter bottle filled with bleach and an effervescent antacid that explodes loudly and leaves bleach stains. SATURDAY, JUNE 4 A resident from the 200 block of Burlington Avenue reported to police at 10:51 a.m. of receiving a threatening voicemail from a known person who claimed he was going to come to the complainant's home and "shoot the place up."
