Clarendon Hills Announces New Village Manager

Randy Recklaus, former Batavia assistant city administrator, will assume his duties as Clarendon Hills village manager on Feb. 28.

The village of Clarendon Hills has appointed Randy Recklaus as its next village manager. Recklaus' contract will be considered at the Feb. 7 village board meeting. He is expected to start with the village on Feb. 28. Recklaus succeeds Rob Bahan who left the position in Nov. 2010 to become the village manager for Winnetka. Since 2000, Recklaus has served as the Assistant City Administrator for the City of Batavia. Recklaus also worked for economic development consulting firm S.B. Friedman and Company and the city of St. Charles. He has a Master of Public Administration degree from Northern Illinois University. Clarendon Hills Village Manager Resigns

Robert Bahan will assume role as village manager for Winnetka on Nov. 29.

Robert M. Bahan resigned his position as Clarendon Hills village manager Wednesday to accept a position as village manager for Winnetka. He will begin his new position on Nov. 29. Bahan has served as village manager in Clarendon Hills since 2002. During that time, the village completed a number of projects, including the construction of a new police station, infrastructure upgrades throughout the village, an intergovernmental agreement to share fire-related services with the village of Hinsdale and other projects related to a downtown master plan that was completed during his tenure.
