Villa Taj Mansion in Burr Ridge Finally Sold for $3.1 Million
The 30,000-square-foot home near the intersection of Plainfield and County Line roads was sold to a bank trust for a lot less than the original $25 million asking price, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The massive Villa Taj mansion at the corner of Plainfield and County Line roads in Burr Ridge was sold in November for $3.1 million, according to the Chicago Tribune, years after construction on the home was completed in 2009. The original asking price for the home, the Trib reported, was $25.1 million. A bank trust purchased the house, backed by a family that the Trib reported is not a celebrity family. "With a gold Jerusalem limestone exterior and a neo-Byzantine Moorish revival architectural style, the mansion, which was completed in 2009 and sits on 3.5 acres at a prominent intersection in Burr Ridge, is hard to miss," the Trib's Bob Goldsborough writes.
