Though spring break is over for many families, nice weather in Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills will hopefully serve as some small consolation.
Those Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills folks returning from sunny spring break adventures in Florida, Mexico, or Jamaica will be eased back into Chicagoland weather with a pretty enjoyable weekend. Here's your weekend forecast, courtesy of the National Weather Service: Saturday Skies will start cloudy Saturday and then gradually clear as the day goes on. The high temperature will be 60 degrees and breezes will top out at 15 mph. Saturday night, skies will be partly cloudy and the low will drop to 50 degrees. Spring officially arrived last week and there's plenty of evidence around town.
Though the Chicago area's summer got antsy and seemed to leapfrog its seasonal predecessor in early March, spring officially arrived on March 21 in Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills. A stroll around each town's business district Monday showed as much. Village planters are filled with tulips in Hinsdale and trees in Clarendon Hills are stocked with pink and white flowers that we all know won't last long. Temps may have dipped a bit since last weekend, but the weather will still be quite accommodating Saturday and Sunday.
Last weekend, we enjoyed a legitimately summery St. Patrick's Day, so this first official weekend of spring's cooler forecast appears to be a step down. But let's not get greedy—68 degrees in March isn't bad.
