Nearly 50 juveniles were issued citations for underage drinking at a May 10 party, Hinsdale police said. A total of 48 juveniles submitted to breath tests that indicated they had consumed alcohol. Police were dispatched at 8:07 p.m. to the party, which took place on the 700 block of North Oak Street, according to a report. "There were more than 50 people at the party," said Mark Wodka, Hinsdale deputy police chief, in an e-mail. "There were attendees that fled prior to and upon police arrival." The homeowner’s son was issued citations for consumption of alcohol by a minor and allowing persons under 21 to gather and consume alcohol on the property. Andrews, 27, of the 25600 block of Shoal Creek Drive, Monee, was charged with the following: Police at 2:18 a.m. stopped Andrews at 55th Street and Camberly Court for speeding and improper lane use, according to a report. A two-day prostitution sting staged last week by Aurora Police Special Operations investigators resulted in charges being filed against four men and six women, including one woman from Hinsdale. The operation, which was staged May 8 and 9 at an undisclosed private residence in Aurora, targeted several different internet sites known for advertising sexual services. Three of the men were arrested and charged with solicitation of a sexual act on May 8 after they responded to the residence in reference to an ad placed by Aurora police on one of the internet sites, police said. Forest Park police reports said the men just purchased needles from Walgreens.
Three men were charged with heroin possession May 2 in the Forest Park Walgreens parking lot after buying needles in the store. Mazvydas Deltuva, 21, of Willowbrook; Rame Gjukaj, 22, of Westmont; and Matthew W. Vanek, 23, of Hinsdale, were all charged with possession of a controlled substance. A patron came into Walgreens, 7200 Roosevelt Rd. in Forest Park, and told the manager that there appeared to be people doing drugs in a car in the parking lot. When police arrived, the men in the car made "furtive movements," and one passenger exited the car. Police found an aluminum can on the ground as well as a baggie of suspect heroin. MONDAY, MAY 6 A man at 6:37 p.m. on the 200 block of North Richmond Avenue said his rear truck window was opened but he didn't know how it got that way. The man was intoxicated and did not provide an officer with any valid information about the circumstance, according to police. The officer told the man to call if there were any further details.
