March Home Sales: Hinsdale Market Shows Big Decline; Median Price Drops Slightly

Year-over-year, Hinsdale saw significant declines in the number of homes sold. The median home price also decreased slightly, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.

The 18 homes sold in Hinsdale during March 2013 represented a -37.9 percent decline over March 2012, when 29 homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). There were 16 homes sold in Hinsdale during February.  While the number of homes sold decreased significantly, the median price of homes sold in March declined slightly in Hinsdale. The median price dropped -0.6 percent to $775,000 from $780,000 in March 2012. The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout DuPage County experienced notable sales gains in March, MORe reported. MORe gets its statistics from Midwest Real Estate Data. Hinsdale Housing Market: February Sales, Median Price Up From 2012

The number of homes sold in Hinsdale last month was 60 percent higher than it was one year before, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.

The 16 detached, single-family homes sold in Hinsdale during February 2013 represented a 60 percent increase over February 2012, when 10 homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). The number was also up from January 2013, when 12 homes were sold. The median price of homes sold was also up in Hinsdale. The median price rose 152.9 percent year over year, from $448,750 in February 2012 to $1,135,000 in February 2013. Hinsdale Housing Market: January Sales, Median Price Down From 2012

Home sales in Hinsdale fell by 29.4 percent year-over-year from January 2012 to January 2013, according to numbers supplied by the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.

The 12 detached, single-family homes sold in Hinsdale during January represented a 29.4 percent decrease from January 2012, when 17 homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). Sales in January were also down from December 2012, when 22 homes sold in Hinsdale. The median price of homes sold in January ($837,500) was slightly lower than the median price of homes sold in January 2012 ($850,000).  Despite a slow month in Hinsdale, the market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout DuPage County saw growth in January, MORe reported. Hinsdale Housing Market: December Home Sales Up From 2011

Home sales in Hinsdale grew 100 percent year-over-year from December 2011 to December 2012.

The 22 detached, single-family homes sold in Hinsdale during December represented a 100 percent increase over December 2011, when 11 homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). There were 26 homes sold in Hinsdale during November. In addition, the median price of homes sold in December ($862,000) was 16.5 percent higher than the median price of homes sold in December 2011 ($740,000).  The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout DuPage County saw growth in December, MORe reported. Hinsdale Housing Market Has Another Good Month: November Home Sales

Twice as many homes were sold in Hinsdale in November 2012 than were sold in November 2011, the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors reports.

The 26 detached, single-family homes sold in Hinsdale during November represented a 100 percent increase over November 2011, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). There were 16 homes sold in Hinsdale during October. In addition, the median price of homes sold in November ($797,500) was 16.1 percent higher than the median price of homes sold in November 2011 ($687,000).  The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout DuPage County saw growth in November, MORe reported. Hinsdale Housing Market Shows Growth: October Home Sales

More than twice as many homes were sold in October 2012 than were sold in October 2011, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.

The 16 Hinsdale homes sold in the month of October represented a 128.6 percent increase over October 2011, the second-highest year-over-year increase among DuPage County Patch towns. There were also 16 Hinsdale home sales in September. In addition, the median price of homes sold in October ($922,500) was 60.4 percent higher than the median price of homes sold in October 2011 ($575,000).  The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout DuPage County saw growth in October, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe).
