TUESDAY, APRIL 16 Someone took a female's phone and $20 from her bag on the 100 block of North Oak Street. The incident occurred between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. She located her phone outside of a restroom, but was still missing the $20, according to police. FRIDAY, APRIL 12 A 15-year-old boy was charged with theft after he was found to have a jacket that was reported lost or stolen. The boy admitted to taking the jacket at 10:54 a.m. at Hinsdale Central High School on the 5500 block of South Grant Street. He was referred to a juvenile diversion program. SUNDAY, APRIL 7 Police were dispatched at 7:22 p.m. to investigate a domestic situation in which a teen was being verbally abusive on the 900 block of South Monroe Street. While investigating the complaint, the teen struck a police officer with her fist. She also resisted arrest and kicked an assisting officer, according to police. The teen was released and referred to a juvenile officer. SATURDAY, APRIL 6 A 17-year-old Hinsdale girl was stopped at 11:50 p.m. at Hinsdale Avenue and Washington Street for driving without headlights when required. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20 Someone broke into a car parked in a lot in the 900 block of North Elm Street by smashing a window and stole a GPS unit and a pair of sunglasses worth a combined $520, police said. The incident took place between 3:20 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. and remains under investigation. MONDAY, MARCH 18 Someone tried to use the identity of a resident from the 400 block of South Grant Street to open a line of credit at a jewelry store at 12:43 p.m., police said. The resident was alerted by the jewelry store and the transaction was denied. SUNDAY, FEB. 24 Raul Peres, 30, of the 300 block of Burlington Avenue, Downers Grove, was charged with driving without a valid license, police said, after a 12:12 a.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Monroe Street. THURSDAY, FEB. 21 A resident from the 0-100 block of Tuttle Avenue told police at 3:21 p.m. that his or her credit card was fraudulently used to purchase two plane tickets worth $1,090.67 some time on Feb. 18 or Feb. 19. WEDNESDAY, FEB. 20 A customer of TCF Bank reported to police at 4:07 p.m. that, after depositing a check at the bank's branch at Jewel-Osco, the exact amount was withdrawn from the account by an unknown person the same day. Police said the victim filed a police report as part of the bank's reimbursement process. TUESDAY, FEB. 19 Police said four tickets to a March 9 Pink concert worth a combined $1,180 were stolen from a resident in the 0-100 block of Blodgett Avenue by an unknown person in October, after UPS delivered the tickets but before the resident picked them up. THURSDAY, FEB. 14 A male driver hit an unoccupied minivan parked in the 10 block of West 1st Street at 4:12 p.m. and drove off, police said, after damaging the minivan’s rear bumper. A witness saw the incident and told police the driver was a 5-foot-5 white male in his 20s with short brown hair in a rusted tan car. WEDNESDAY, FEB. 13 An office manager at Hinsdale Gastroenterology Associates, 907 N. Elm St., reported the theft of an envelope containing $20 in cash, a personal check and three charge receipts from a desk drawer in the office between 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., police said.
