The Hinsdale Police Department cracked down on late-night violators from March 14 to March 17.
The following is a release from the Hinsdale Police Department: In an effort to save lives and reduce serious injuries, the Hinsdale Police Department, along with thousands of law enforcement agencies across the country, participated inan enforcement initiative to crackdown on drunk and unbelted drivers. During the aggressive enforcement period that ran from March 14 through March 17, three motorists were arrested for DUI, 34 motorists were issued citations for failing to wear their safety belts, 24 motorists were cited for speeding, three motorists were arrested for driving on a suspended/revoked/no valid license, five motorists were cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, one citation was issued for possession of cannabis, and 17…

MONDAY, MARCH 4 Damielle N. Winters, 27, of the 400 block of Beach Avenue, La Grange Park, was charged with DUI, DUI .08 or more, speeding and improper lane usage. MONDAY, FEB. 25 A 16-year-old male Hinsdale Central student from Willowbrook was charged with possession of cannabis, police said, after an employee of the school determined he had the drug at 10 a.m. and called police. The substance field-tested positive for cannabis and the student was cited for violating a local ordinance. He was released to appear in court. WEDNESDAY, FEB. 20 A customer of TCF Bank reported to police at 4:07 p.m. that, after depositing a check at the bank's branch at Jewel-Osco, the exact amount was withdrawn from the account by an unknown person the same day. Police said the victim filed a police report as part of the bank's reimbursement process. TUESDAY, FEB. 19 Police said four tickets to a March 9 Pink concert worth a combined $1,180 were stolen from a resident in the 0-100 block of Blodgett Avenue by an unknown person in October, after UPS delivered the tickets but before the resident picked them up. SUNDAY, FEB. 10 Conor E. Brennan, 21, of the 3900 block of North Grant Street, Westmont, was charged with DUI after police said he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for improper lane use near the intersection of Monroe and 55th streets at 3:39 a.m., and failed an ensuing breath test. Brennan was charged with two counts of DUI, improper lane use and and improper turn. He was released to appear in court. A customer at Whole Foods Market, 500 E. Ogden Ave., unknowingly attempted to pay for groceries with a counterfeit $50 bill at 1:26 p.m., police said. A Whole Foods employee determined the bill was counterfeit, police said.
