The following are recent developments in notable DuPage County court cases: Hinsdale—A Chicago man initially charged with attempted robbery at the Clock & Watch Shop in July recently pleaded guilty to a felony burglary count as part of a deal with prosecutors, court records show. David Quevedo was arrested in July after he went into the store, implied he had a weapon and demanded watches from the clerk. The 62-year-old woman working at the store began screaming and Quevedo fled without any merchandise, but was stopped by onlookers who heard the commotion. Quevedo was sentenced to 90 days in DuPage County Jail, with credit for half that amount as time served, put on 24 months of probation and ordered to stay away from the store. Prosecutors…

A substitute teacher from unincorporated Hinsdale charged with criminal sexual abuse of a 17-year-old student was in court Wednesday for a second status hearing since pleading not guilty to two felony counts at his arraignment in March. Steven E. Reynolds, 27, of the 600 block of 55th Street, was serving as a substitute teacher and freshman basketball coach at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park when he was arrested by the DuPage County Sheriff's Office on Feb. 6. He was charged after friends of the victim, a Sandburg student, told authorities about a Jan. 28 incident at Reynolds' home during which the alleged abuse occurred. The following are recent developments in notable DuPage County court cases: Hinsdale—A Wheaton man arrested on charges he stole jewelry from a Hinsdale home in November was placed on two years probation after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge. Elton Garner, 20, also was ordered to pay $2,500 in restitution and $330 in court costs as part of an agreement with prosecutors, who dropped other felony counts against Garner. Police arrested Garner on theft and burglary charges alleging he took $7,800 in jewelry missing during a party to which he was not invited. Garner was tracked down after some of the items were sold to nearby pawn shops. Elmhurst—A man arrested last year after he shipped marijuana to himself at an Elmhurst storage …

The following are recent developments in notable DuPage County court cases: Hinsdale—A Hinsdale man who taught at Sandburg High School has been indicted on charges he sexually abused a 17-year-old female student. Steven Reynolds was arrested last month after police investigated information about an encounter between the girl and Reynolds at his home. Reynolds was indicted Feb. 28 on two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He is free on bond and scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in DuPage County. The following are recent developments in notable cases from DuPage County court: Naperville—One man indicted in connection to several area robberies, including at least two in Naperville, has pleaded not guilty. Travis Gamble, 22, of Oswego, is charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, aggravated robbery and kidnapping. Gamble and Josiah McCroskey are accused of working with a third man, Cory Paytes, on different robberies that stretch back over the last year, according to prosecutors. Gamble returns to court March 27. The following are recent developments in notable cases from DuPage County court: Downers Grove—A Downers Grove woman, charged with official misconduct relating to her job with the Illinois Tollway Authority, was briefly taken into custody a second time after DuPage County Jail officials determined part of her $75,000 bail was paid with counterfeit money. Hilen Chammas was arrested earlier this month on charges she illegally searched a law enforcement database for personal use. A woman posted $7,500 bond for Chammas on Feb. 3, but $1,080 of that amount was found to be fake. Chammas was arrested on a warrant and later released on Feb. 10 after a second person posted the necessary $1,080 bond. She returns to court March 5. Elmhurst—Attorneys …

The following is a recap of hearings in notable DuPage County court cases that took place during the week of Jan. 23-27: Darien—A man accused of shooting heroin with his wife in a gas station bathroom while their children were left inside a running car has pleaded not guilty to a drug possession charge. Andrew Burr denied the charge during a Jan. 23 hearing before Judge Kathryn Creswell. Andrew and Georgina Burr, both from the western Illinois town of Walnute, were arrested on Christmas Eve. Downers Grove/Lisle—The Downers Grove man accused of pretending to be a U.S. Marshal has been indicted. A grand jury indicted John C. Campbell on two counts each of aggravated impersonation of a police officer and impersonating a police officer, as well as a single county of forgery. He is accused of telling a U.S. Bank employee and a Lisle police officer that he was a federal agent. He also was in possession of a starter pistol when he made the same claim at a car dealership, records show. Campbell, 19, also forged paperwork in an attempt to buy a vehicle. Elmhurst—A 21-year-old from Libertyville is scheduled for a January hearing on a charge he carved racist remarks into concrete window ledge at Elmhurst College earlier this month. Myles Burton was charged with a hate crime related to the felony criminal damage to property after "KKK," "Negro" and "I hate black people" were discovered. The incident reportedly occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 8. Burton turned 21 on Dec. 10. He received an underage drinking ordinance violation earlier this year, according to court records.
