New 55th Street Stoplight Up and Running

With 55th Street construction in Clarendon Hills and Westmont finishing up, Patch wants to know if you like the new light.

After months of construction, 55th Street is back to being a four-lane road through Clarendon Hills and Westmont, but there's a new stoplight drivers will have to get used to. Clarendon Hills public works director Michael Millette said at Monday's village board meeting that DuPage County is just about finished with the 55th Street construction project. "They're doing a little bit of general cleanup," Millette said, "but they're rapidly about to be done with the project." On Nov. 29, a new stoplight was activated in Clarendon Hills just outside Country House at 55th and Clarendon Hills Road.
