The Maercker School District is comprised of three grade schools serving the southern portions of Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills along with students from parts of Westmont, Downers Grove, and Darien.

The district mission statement reads: "The mission of the Maercker School District 60 is to provide exemplary learning experiences within a positive, safe and caring environment that support student academic and personal growth." This dedication to learning manifested itself in the district being awarded a "Bright Red Apple Award" for educational excellence.
