Hinsdale's Fall Family Fest Moved Indoors

Holding the annual event at Hinsdale Middle School gives its organizers the option for a hybrid indoor-outdoor event.

The Village of Hinsdale's Fall Family Festival will be moved from Burlington Park indoors to Hinsdale Middle School due to bad weather that's expected Saturday, parks and recreation director Gina Hassett said.

The annual Halloween-time event will run from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. and feature inflatables, carnival games and pumpkin decorating, according to the village's event flyer. Trick-or-treating around downtown will go from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

"The weather might not be the best so we moved to have the option for a hybrid event," Hassett said in an email. "We may have the inflatables and pumpkin picking area on the south lawn if it is dry and cool."

The Chamber of Commerce will be judging costumes between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Winners will be announced at 2 p.m.
