'Dangerously Low' Wind Chills Forecasted Through Wednesday Morning
More frigid winter weather is expected this week according to the National Weather Service.
A National Weather Service (NWS) wind chill advisory is in effect from Monday morning through Wednesday morning in DuPage and Cook counties.
Wind chill values are expected to dip down to between -30 and -45 degrees during the two-day span.
The wind chill advisory will go into effect at 3 a.m. Monday, a few hours before a winter weather advisory currently in effect Sunday expires at 6 a.m. Monday.

Blowing snow is expected Sunday evening through Monday morning.
"Gusty winds tonight will cause significant blowing and drifting of snow, which along with a period of snow showers this evening may lead to near blizzard conditions at times, especially in open and rural areas," the NWS advisory reads. "Travel will be dangerous."
Drivers should aware that roadways may be iced over in spots.
