PHOTOS: More Than 1,000 Charlie's Gift Supporters 'Walk the Walk'

The three-mile Charlie's Gift Walk the Walk for Autism took place Sunday morning.

Approximately 1,050 people turned out Sunday morning for the 5th Annual Charlie's Gift Walk the Walk for Autism in Hinsdale according to Sarah Sieracki of , who put on the event.

According to the Charlie's Gift website, the three-mile walk that began at Hinsdale Central High School raised $61,926 in donations for Charlie's Gift Autism Center in Downers Grove, which serves the needs of children and families dealing with autism.

fielded the top K-8 team by turning out 106 walkers. The top group was the 35-member Red Devils Football team.

In all, more than 60 teams participated.
