The Red Devils are coming off a 42-0 blowout win against Leyden in their home opener Sept. 2 after a nip-tuck overtime win against St. Charles North Aug. 26. According to a story by Yourseason.com's Chuck Fieldman, Hinsdale Central used two quarterbacks in both games.

In the home opener, junior quarterback Brian Owens threw two first-half touchdown passes while senior quarterback Danny Callahan ran for two scores in the second half.

Head coach Rich Tarka said he expects to play both Owens and Callahan again in Friday's game, according to Fieldman's story.

But the Red Devils defense was the story against Leyden. According to Fieldman, the unit allowed 6 net yards rushing and 40 yards passing against the Eagles en route to the shutout.
