PREVIEW: Red Devils Football Opens West Suburban Silver Play At York

Who: Hinsdale Central (1-1) vs. York (2-0)

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday

Where: York Community High School, 355 W. St. Charles Rd., Elmhurst 

Last week: Hinsdale Central bounced back from an opening-week loss to Bolingbrook with a 36-14 win over Addison Trail at Dickinson Field. 

Three different Red Devils ran in rushing touchdowns against the Blazers. Running backs Ben Stefani and Juwan Edmund ran for 122 yards and 98 yards, respectively.

Return man Ryan Doney had a 70-yard touchdown on a punt return and also recovered an Edmund fumble in the end zone for a second score.

Quarterback Chase Hamilton completed 5 of 10 passes for 85 yards. He threw one interception and no touchdowns.

The Red Devils held steady at No. 23 this week in the Sun-Times' Super 25 football rankings.

York, meanwhile, is off to a 2-0 start after a miserable 0-9 season in 2012.
 
The Dukes have scored more than 50 points in each of their first two games. They opened with a 55-8 win over Clark and followed it up with a 52-22 beating of Proviso East.

Hinsdale Central beat York, 20-17, in the teams' final regular-season game of 2012.
