Football Playoffs: Hinsdale Central Gets No. 5 Seed, Faces OPRF in First Round

The two teams met earlier this month, when the Huskies came from behind to beat the Red Devils in overtime.

Three weeks after Oak Park-River Forest came back from 21 points down to beat Hinsdale Central in overtime, the Red Devils will get their shot at revenge.

According to the IHSA football playoff brackets released over the weekend, Hinsdale Central will host OPRF this weekend in the first round of the 8A tournament. The particular day and time for the game has not yet been set.

The Red Devils finished the 2012 season with a 7-2 overall record; the Huskies are 6-3. A three-game win streak this fall propelled OPRF, who ran off wins against Lyons Township, Hinsdale Central and Morton from Sept. 28 to Oct. 12.
