After three straight weeks at No. 11 in Mike Clark's Chicago Sun-Times rankings and No. 15 in Mike Helfgot's Chicago Tribune rankings, Hinsdale Central (5-2) is not among either paper's top football teams after a tough 42-41 home loss to Oak Park River Forest Friday night.
Huskies running back Jakari Cammon finished the game with 206 yards on 17 carries. He scored his third touchdown in overtime touchdown and ran in an all-or-nothing two-point conversion to give OPRF the thrilling road win.
Hinsdale Central led 28-7 in the first quarter after turning two Cammon fumbles into two Brian Owens touchdown passes. Owens finished the game 5 of 16 for 93 yards. He threw one interception in addition to the two touchdowns.
Running back Jack Adams ran for 191 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries.
The Red Devils have two regular season games remaining—at Downers North (5-2) Friday, and home against York (0-7) Oct. 19.
