Football: Hinsdale Central QB Injured in Win Over York

Chase Hamilton hurt his ankle in the first quarter, but the Red Devils were still able to manage a 30-point night in their conference opener.

Hinsdale Central quarterback Chase Hamilton suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter Friday night, according to HighSchoolCube News, but that didn't stop the Red Devils from racking up big points in a 30-7 win over York in Elmhurst.

Backup quarterback Jacob White ran 16 times for 160 yards in the Red Devils' West Suburban Silver Conference opener, HighSchoolCube reports.

"After the Dukes cut the Red Devils’ lead to 14-7 in the third, White responded with a 68-yard TD run to give the Devils a 21-7 lead and stamp out any possible comeback by the Dukes," HighSchoolCube's recap reads.
