Football: Hinsdale Central No. 9 in 8A After 2nd Win

The Red Devils' win over York kept them in the Chicago Sun-Times Super 25 rankings for the fourth straight week.

Hinsdale Central's football team is ranked No. 9 in the AP's 8A state rankings after a 30-7 win over York Friday night in Elmhurst.

The Red Devils lost starting quarterback Chase Hamilton to injury in the first quarter against the Dukes, but backup Jacob White came in and ran the ball 16 times for 160 yards in Hinsdale Central's West Suburban Silver Conference opener.

The win gives the Hinsdale Central a 2-1 record this season. York is now 2-1, as well.
