Football: Hinsdale Central Falls to LT on Homecoming Saturday

Lyons Township got three touchdowns from running back Leonard Ross en route to a 35-14 win in Hinsdale.

Lyons Township running back Leonard Ross ran for 115 yards and three touchdowns as the Lions beat Hinsdale Central, 35-14, on Homecoming Saturday for the Red Devils, HighSchoolCube News reports.

Hinsdale Central opened the scoring with a 60-yard touchdown drive on the Red Devils' first drive, before the Lions ripped off 35 straight points, HighSchoolCube reports.

The loss dropped Hinsdale Central to 2-2 in the West Suburban Silver and 3-3 overall. Lyons Township is also 3-3 overall with a 2-1 conference mark. 

Thomas Ives was the latest Red Devil to take a crack at quarterback in the absence of injured starter Chase Hamilton, according to HighSchoolCube. He completed six passes and ran for 60 yards.

Three games remain for the Red Devils to improve their shaky playoff status. Next up for Hinsdale Central is another rivalry game Friday night at Hinsdale South.
