Athletes of Dance is dedicated to providing the finest ballet instruction, helping students develop the skills necessary in the dance world, and inspiring them to approach all of life with grace and confidence. We believe that ballet is equal parts art and athleticism, and we teach children, teenagers, and adults how to marry the two. Our classes emphasize precise technique, safety, strength, elegance, expressiveness, and musicality. We strive to create very versatile dancers. To that end, we offer instruction in classical, contemporary, and character ballet.
Athletes of Dance was founded in 2010 by Sasha Kozadayev and Rebecca King, who met at age 11 at the Colorado Ballet Academy. Born to professional ballet dancers, Sasha had already graced stages in his native St. Petersburg, Russia, and New York City. Rebecca’s passion for dance began at such an early age that dance is second nature to her. After two decades of pursuing and realizing their personal dance dreams, Sasha and Rebecca focused their energies on a new dream: opening a dance school. The name of the school was inspired by Albert Einstein, who famously called dancers “the athletes of God.”
