Quotable: Hinsdale South coach Vince Doran: "(Jarosz) is the best point guard in our conference. Whatever college he goes to will be lucky. … We did some good things, Brock (Benson) made the two free throws late. Both teams made great plays. They were up by eight and we battled back. It's too bad we couldn't pull this one out."

Morton coach Tony Martinucci: “Doran knows our plays as much as we do. (Hinsdale South) is very well coached. We're getting better. This is our first win to a good team in a while. Every loss on our schedule we were up by at least eight. I'm happy we were able to get this close game."

Team Records: Morton is 15-8 overall and 7-4 in WSC Gold. Hinsdale South is 15-10 overall and 6-5 in WSC Gold.

What's Next: Morton plays Oak Park-River Forest Saturday, while Hinsdale South takes on Willowbrook next Friday.
