Boys Basketball: Hinsdale Central to Open Playoffs as No. 5 Seed

The West Suburban Silver champs start their IHSA playoff run Wednesday night in Wheaton.

The Hinsdale Central boys basketball team wrapped up an 18-6 regular season Wednesday night, which is good enough for a No. 5 seed in the Bolingbrook Sectional and a first-round bye in the Wheaton Warrenville South Regional that begins next week.

On Wednesday, Feb. 27, the Red Devils will face the winner of Monday's game between No. 12 seed Geneva and No. 21 seed Wheaton Warrenville South.

The four Bolingbrook Sectional teams seeded ahead of Hinsdale Central, in order, are Oswego, Benet, Neuqua Valley and West Aurora.
