Watch Freshman Pop Homecoming Question
Patch happened upon a Hinsdale Central Homecoming proposal in progress Wednesday afternoon.
It's that time of year when Hinsdale Central's freshman boys frantically lock up Hinsdale Central's freshman girls as Homecoming dates.
Patch happened upon Danny Ahern Wednesday afternoon on Bruner Street in Hinsdale, standing outside Maddie Becker's house with a bouquet of red and white flowers, waiting for Becker to come home and, hopefully, give him a thumbs-up for the Oct. 5 dance.

Ahern, also a Hinsdale resident, had a sign prepared for the soccer-playing Becker ("My goal is to take to you Homecoming," it read) and even had a couple of Becker's friends, — Lilly Daker and Audrey May — helping him get set up.
Becker came home from an after-school snack with her mom, went out the front door, and spotted Ahern. Watch the video above to see if she gave Ahern the answer he was hoping for.
