No School Tuesday for Hinsdale D86
The closure may mean an extended school year. Before and after school activities are also canceled.
District 86 kids will get a second day at home Tuesday as the schools will be closed due to the extreme cold that is forecasted to continue in the region.
Below is the full note from Superintendent Bruce Law:
District 86 Families,
Good afternoon. District 86 will not be in session tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7 due to the continuing forecast for dangerous weather conditions in the area. In addition, all district and school buildings will be closed. No transportation, before or after school activities or facility rentals will be available.

The decision to close Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South high schools has been coordinated with the superintendents in our local feeder districts to ease the scheduling for families.
District 86 will continue to keep families informed of any closures or schedule changes using the district’s email system and website (www.hinsdale86.org).

Please note that school closures may result in the school year being extended. Information regarding any change to the date of the last day of school will be communicated to parents through the communication methods listed above.
