Springfield Day Trip for Clarendon Hills Park District's Rainbow Club

The Clarendon Hills Park District's Rainbow Club for active adults ages 50 and better will journey to Springfield, Illinois on Thursday, October 11, 2012 to enjoy a "Land of Lincoln" tour.  Rainbow Club travelers will celebrate the life and times of America's 16th President with stops at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, Lincoln's home and Lincoln's tomb.  There will be a motor tour through Springfield, with a professional guide pointing out the Governor's Mansion and State Capitol.  A buffet lunch will be served at the Golden Corral.  Come along to discover the best of Illinois!  A professional tour guide will board the bus on Springfield, providing an interesting historical perspective.  There is a $75.00 tour fee for this trip; please register at the Clarendon Hills Park District Community Center, 315 Chicago Avenue, on or before Sept. 24.
