Fire Department to Burn Contents of House in Demonstration That Displays Effectiveness of Residential Fire Sprinkler Protection

On Tuesday, May 17th, the Hinsdale Fire Department will be conducting a live fire demonstration in which a fire sprinkler is present. The demonstration, which is open to the public, will vividly display the tremendous speed of a typical home fire and the vital importance of fast-acting home fire sprinkler technology that can save lives and reduce property damage.

The event will be held at 10:30am and is located at 411 W. Glendale Avenue in Hinsdale.

The fire demonstration will provide information about residential fire sprinklers and the benefits they provide to both builders and homeowners when they are incorporated in new home construction.

People who have experienced the life-saving benefits of fire sprinklers and members of the Hinsdale Fire Department will be in attendance.
