District 181, Teachers' Union Still Without a Deal

The two sides met Wednesday through a mediator, two weeks before the current contract expires.

The District 181 Board of Education and the Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills Teachers' Association (HCHTA) held a mediated negotiation session Wednesday, but no agreement on a new contract was reached, according to a joint release sent out Thursday afternoon by District 181 and the union.

The current contract between the district and HCHTA expires Aug. 24.

The release said the two parties will meet again before the current contract expires.
