District 181: Summer Office Hours Cut to Save Money
District 181 says the adjusted hours will save the district an estimated $27,000 in energy costs.
The following is a release from District 181:
As part of expenditure reduction measures in Community Consolidated School District 181, all schools, school offices and the will be closed on Fridays beginning with Friday, June 15, and ending Friday, August 10.
The District 181 reception desk will be staffed from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday from Monday, June 11, through Thursday, August 2. Regular office hours at the Administration Center will begin on Monday, August 6.

From mid-June until mid-August, registration for new students will take place at the Administration Center between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. For information about registration of students, call (630) 887-1070 Ext. 0 for the receptionist.
The closure of schools and offices will help the district reduce energy costs by an estimated $27,000. District employees who work during the summer months either work extended hours four days each week or work regular hours and use vacation days.
