Community Members Donate Thousands to District 86

Several community members have stepped forward not only to donate money, but also needed items to both District 86 high schools.

Community members have donated several thousand dollars worth of items and monetary contributions to both high schools. The school board approved acceptance of the donations at its regular meeting Monday night.

Several donations were made to the school's music department, totalling $6,420.

Katie Longtin of Hinsdale donated a drum set to the music department valued at $1,000.

The John Maras Family donated a telescope to the science department valued at $150.

Robert and Kim Hogan and the Illinois Tool Works Foundation donated $1,000.

A family stepped forward to donate a bass fishing field trip for students, which will take place in Quincy, Illinois on May 25 - 27.
