Bills Begin to Roll in From Hinsdale Middle School Clean-Up

Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills School District 81 approved a $300,000 payment for a contractor who replaced drywall at Hinsdale Middle School but is holding off — for now — from paying anymore of the $1.2 million total invoice, according to the Chicago Tribune.

School officials said the 70-page invoice submitted by the restoration contractor, ServePro, needs to be reviewed more closely, according to the article.

The total cost to replace drywall at the school, which closed in January for two weeks following a pipe burst that flooded the school with 600 gallons of water, could total about $2.4 million, according to the Chicago Tribune.
