The Willowbrook home will have a suggested opening bid of $2.4 million when it goes on the block in August, according to reports.

A 4-year-old Willowbrook house that was never occupied will go to auction next month with a suggested opening bid of $2.4 million.

The 17-room house on Ridgemoor Drive sits on a 2.3-acre estate and had a $5.7 million original asking price in 2007, Crain's Chicago Business reports. The house has six bedrooms and seven baths, the report added.

The auction, which is being handled by SVN Auction Works, will be run from Aug. 25 to 27, Crain's reports. Interested buyers also can bid in advance, the report added.

Ted Bart of Ted's Builder's Inc. built this home, as well as its neighbor, an 8,700-square-foot house that was originally listed for $4.9 million in 2008, the report stated. That home was taken off the market in April of this year after the asking price dropped to $2 million, the report added.
