NBC-5 News Anchor Rob Stafford Selling Hinsdale Digs for $1.699M

NBC Chicago news anchor tells Tribune the kids are grown and he wants to downsize.


For a mere $1.699 million you can own NBC Chicago news anchor Rob Stafford’s luxurious, custom-built home in Hinsdale.

The Emmy Award-winning newscaster has been on Chicago’s airwaves for 21 years. Prior to joining NBC 5 Chicago’s news team in 2007,  Stafford was the Chicago-based correspondent for NBC’s Dateline. He was promoted to Ch. 5’s head news desk in 2009.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Stafford paid $1.033 million for the newly built house in 2000.

“We love Hinsdale, but all of our kids have now graduated (from high school), and we’re just looking to downsize,” Stafford told the Tribune’s Elite Street.
