Hinsdale's Kirk Dillard Formally Announcing Run For Governor in 2014

The Hinsdale resident began a two-day "statewide fly-around" to publicize his candidacy, according to ABC 7 News.

Kirk Dillard is flying around Illinois Monday and Tuesday to announce his candidacy in 2014's gubernatorial election, according to ABC 7 News

It will be the second such campaign for the Republican state senator from Hinsdale. He ran in 2010 and lost the GOP primary to Bill Brady by 193 votes. 

State Treasurer Dan Rutherford, Brady and venture capitalist Bruce Rauner are the other Republicans who have announced their campaigns, ABC 7 reports.

In a Facebook post Monday afternoon, Dillard posted a picture from his formal announcement speech.
